A retired soldier, born May 18, 1931 in Ido-Ani, Owo, Ondo State. He married Hannah Omotayo Johnson, 1958. They are blessed with three sons and three daughters.
Education: St James School, Benin City, 1937-40, he proceeded to St Peter's Schools, Benin City between 1941 to 44 and then to Government College, Ibadan, 1945-50. He got admitted to University College, Ibadan, 1950-54; University of Cam bridge, 1955-56;
Career: Appointed Vice Principal/Acting Principal, Olu-Iwa College, Ijebu-Ode, 1954-59. Enlisted into Regular Infantry Services, Nigerian Army, 1959-64
Military Undersecretary, Ministry of External Affairs, 1967-69
Brigade Commander, 2nd Area Commander, 1966-67;
Director, Nigerian Army Education Corps, 1964-65. He became the Commander, Nigerian Army Resettlement Centre, Oshodi, 1969-75
Chairman, N.Y.S.C, 1975-77; Federal Commissioner for Youths, Sports & Social Development, 1975-77.
President, Nigerian Olympic Committee (NOC), Chief of Mission, Nigerian Olympic Team to Montreal '76; Chairman, Ondo State Health Management Board, 1978-79.
Member, Rotary International, 1982-date. Member, Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International (FGBMFI), 1994-date; member, Constituent Assembly, 1988-89.
