Welcome to Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association

The 1986 Class Set of Government College Ibadan Old Boys Association has kick-started her Pet Project tagged 'Reward System and Skill Acquisition Project' solely for the students of Government College Ibadan.

The project which had its premiere on Tuesday, the 20th of March, 2018 at the school grounds rewarded the best student in each of the three classes of the Science and Arts Departments in the Senior Secondary School.

The Science Class had Olanrewaju Promise of SSS I and Momoh Steven of SSS II as the overall best students of their respective class, each won a cash sum of five thousand naira (#5,000:00), alongside a textbook voucher of five thousand naira (#5,000:00) worth, redeemable at Booksellers Limited, Ibadan.

The Arts Class also had Adegboye Iyanuoluwa of SSS I and Babalola Olawale of SSS II as the overall best students of their respective class, each of them won a cash sum of five thousand naira (#5,000:00), alongside a textbook voucher of five thousand naira (#5,000:00) worth, redeemable at Booksellers Limited, Ibadan.

Odewunmi Wisdom of SSS III Science Class and Moses Teminijesu of SSS III Arts Class were also rewarded with the full cash of ten thousand naira only (#10,000:00) each, for being the best student in their respective class.

The Class Set Diaspora Chairman, Seun Akin-Esho of Field House, who expressed his gratefulness to the School Principal, Dr Tunde Odekunle for his cooperation, briefed the School that their Pet Project aimed at rewarding students with outstanding academic excellence, and empowering students with varying entrepreneurial skills; has come to stay. He said the zeal of the 1986 Set to give back to her Alma Mater was the morale behind the project. He added that the project has already been adopted as the Corporate Social Responsibility of the 1986 Class Set.

Odewunmi Wisdom (SSS III Science) on behalf of the beneficiaries thanked the 1986 Class set for using their hard earned resources to promote academic excellence and self empowerment. He wished them success in all their pursuits.
